Let’s say you really have issues: PTSD, trauma, parenting…Do you have any idea how hard it is to get into classes for help?? Damn near impossible. We never get into a lot of classes unless we pay our way under the table. For the ones who need classes and can’t get in, the answer is to numb their problems with drugs and disappear from their family.
Also, they are quick to throw us in a cell on lockdown for days at a time, weeks or more…Then feed us like shit and leave us without power for weeks, leaving us to shit on top of shit. The cells without power generate hate.
Our unit team manger screams at us daily and tore up my admin remedies in front of me and another officer. (That other officer later quit due to staff here.)
These are just a few ways that they keep us in our past behaviors.
No one even tries to talk to the unit team because of the way the unit manager talks to us. People who need to fix their needs sheet with for the FSA just give up. People trying to file admin remedies because of staff and fraud here simply give up too. Our remedies will never be processed anyway. So, we work together and continue to live our past lives instead of change…
Do the BOP owe any of us anything? Yes and no. Yes, because they tell the world they do this and that, but it’s all a spin. No, because deep down we all know we did what we did and knew this could come if shit ever hit the fan….
