We are only allowed visits two times a month: the first and third Saturday (not for the weekend — Saturday and Sunday — like most places). And our family and friends have to be here at 6 a.m after working a full week. (Our visits are 6 a.m. to 1 p.m., while most prisons allow visits starting at 8 a.m.) The latest rule is that you have to submit a cop-out to get permission for a visit; if you don’t, they will not allow your visitor in.
In addition, only two inmates are allowed in the law library at one time due to short staff, and we have even been denied copy cards for our legal work for two months now. (The latter happened after the commissary sold us empty copy cards and we wanted refunds.)
