This past week, a lady who had been in the hospital for removal of a mass on her liver experienced some type of medical emergency, She was bleeding from the face, and had lost consciousness. She has never consumed illegal drugs. Nor does she smoke. She tested positive for opioids, which would make sense since she was given the drugs in the hospital. But this facility simply took her to the SHU for investigation! She is maxed out emotionally already. Many of us are deeply concerned with her emotional state and have attempted to talk to upper staff.
