There are rats in the chow hall. BIG ones. They are getting into the food and there are rat droppings all over. They even are living in one of the broken freezers. They won’t put traps out because the Spanish guys keep take the springs, probably to make tattoos.
Now they have shut down the kitchen. Staff are having us come get our trays and take them to our cells due to the rats.
Also, from another AIC: Those rats have had babies and they are getting bolder as time goes on. I am a food service worker and it is hard for me to prepare a meal for the men when I have to clean up rat piss and feces. Today, for the first time, they actually came out while I was serving a meal. The rats out number the inmates 10 to 1!
