Three weeks ago, I was notified that a book I had ordered had arrived via UPS. When I did not get it in the unit, I went to the mailroom during open house. There was ONE person working. The waiting line snaked outside the building. I talked to a worker who was standing on boxes full of mail. There were piles of books in one corner, FreePrint/Shutterfly/Amazon envelopes in another section, and magazines and newspapers and all kinds of envelopes here and there. The poor guy looked for my book and another guy’s photos but to no avail. He told us that he won’t be able to get to books for at least one more week or more. His priority was legal mail, then regular mail.
Currently, we are not getting any mail at all. Last week, staff said they had detected an unknown substance in the incoming mail. So no mail for us.
