The commissary is always out of items. I have never witnessed a commissary in any other prison that does inventory monthly and quarterly, yet still runs out of items .Not everyone, like me, eat in the chow hall, due to sanitary concerns and the fact that the food is often half-cooked. The chicken is sometimes still bloody. Plus, we are on lockdown every weekend lately due to lack of staff .
Examples of items they are usually out of: fish steak, chips of any sort, chicken chili, beef-flavored soups, peppermints. They also never have any T-shirts of any size, large-2XL sweat suits, deodorant, petroleum jelly, shampoo and tick powder.
