It’s 7 a.m. on a Sunday and I am living in my head. I am tired of lockdowns to cover for staff shortages, and then we’re made to feel as if it’s for something we did. This place is not capable of rehabilitation and honestly makes you feel full of anger and hostility. On average, we’re locked down 17 days out of a month – either totally or sent to our cells early or late.

Question: How does the SHU being full justify locking down an entire prison, and cancelling work and programs?
This place is harmful for anyone with mental health challenges. I have a social disorder, anxiety, minor depression and PTSD, and the way they treat us, along with lockdowns for no obvious reason, sends my brain into overdrive.
