Today at 1:30 p.m., as I was watching yet another re-run of the Fugitive on AMC, two fellas were washing a sheet,. Around here, you are better off washing a sheet in your cell if you want it clean. The laundry here is the worst of any laundry I have ever seen in 30 years of doing time. The dudes snapped the sheet a few times to get the excess water out. As a result, our unit was locked down for four and a half hours and we were all subjected to upper-body checks and bad attitudes.
This place is not as advertised. I was told it was a good spot to do your time. But they are petty, disrespectful and cruel to all inmates. It doesn’t matter how hard you work, how respectful you try to be or how you carry yourself. Anyone above a regular officer talks down to you and treats you as if you are lower than human and undeserving of even common decency. God help you if you try to talk to an assistant warden.
If anyone asks about Fairton FCI? Tell them to stay away from here. I have been here almost six months now and have never been served anything in the chow hall to drink but milk or water and I am allergic to milk! They told me, “Well, don’t drink it!”
