They just announced new “modified” operations at Thomson moving forward…Until further notice, we’ll be secured in our cells Tuesday and Thursdays from 4:30-5 p.m. mainline on. Apparently, they are not allowing ANY overtime for the officers, so they are restricting our time out. But we still have the same two COs working in the unit, so there is no real reason for us to be locked down.
They are also going to implement mass scheduling for hospital and other medical trips, doing a lot (a bus load) at one time once a month. When the bus goes, we’ll all be locked down.
They are 134 positions short here, yet there are seven SIS officers, eight to 12 LTs, one warden and three AWs! And all of the overtime was probably spent during the months of lockdowns.
