No BP-8s ever get anywhere here. The last two I filed on real issues, my house was trashed two days in a row. I was warned to stop filing paperwork or the shakedowns will continue. The guard told me it came from above to run through my cell like they did in hope of finding something to put me in the SHU.
I have been here 14 months and I haven’t managed to get in one class. My team recommended three classes every six months but not one of the classes is available here, which messes up my FSA incentives.
When a guy goes to the SHU, other inmates pack up his belongings. Nine times out of 10, he won’t get any of his property back. Staff allow it to be taken. And if any of of it makes it to the SHU, and if the guy is black or is a sex offender, he won’t get any of it; his stuff will be given to what the SHU staff call the “woodpile.”
The way SHU staff treat Blacks, Mexicans and SOs is beyond messed up. They are called niggers, jigaboos and chomos. No one’s mail gets sent out, and most dn’t get the mail sent into them. Pictures get torn up, envelopes are usually not passed out and we are given a rubber pencil that does not write.
To exercise, both cellies have to go out together. They must be ready, clothes on and bed made, at 5:30 a.m. They go out at 6 a.m. and are out in the rec “kennel” until 2 p.m. They eat two meals out in the exercise kennel with no water and constant harassment. There’s no way to appeal any incident report. For example, the DHO gave me 21 days and I ended up doing 30 days. The DHO report was given to me three weeks after the decision. I wasn’t given an envelope or a black pen to prepare an appeal. My case manager would not give me the regional office address to mail the appeal and the store didn’t have stamps during the 30 days I was in the SHU.
When I went to the SHU for investigation, I accidentally hit the medical emergency button and five guards came to my cell, shoved me to the back, put their hands all over me, and told me that if I hit the button again I’d go to the “fun fun room.” One counselor will put an SO with a regular inmate if he doesn’t like one of them. Just to get you him to snap, out knowing the cars will not allow us to live with them. I’ve been to Victorville, Leavenworth and Ft. Worth Low, and this place is off the chain.
