I saw my hip surgeon in March and told him it felt like my MRSA infection is back(I’m back in a wheel chair/can’t walk). He ordered a aspiration (draining) of my hip at an outside hospital, which I got on July 16. Eight days later, I had a tele-health visit with an infectious disease specialist. He said the antibiotics I have been taking to repress the infection are not working and I need to go back to the hospital for a daily, six-week IV- pic-line with a different antibiotic. And even with that, he said I might need surgery. I have gone through this twice before since January 2024.
Since then, I have been trying to get medical to send me out, but they keep spinning me. The person they refer me to (Mrs. Tuttle, the assistant administrator for health services) has not done anything as of now. I tried every day this week at sick call to see her and she never saw me. And today, they told me she’s gone until September 1.
