I’ve been in the MAT program for a couple years, taking suboxone daily, and just got kicked off today for a shot they wrote accusing me of diversion. Suboxone acts kind of like an opiate in the system and when you stop taking it without weaning off, you experience withdrawal symptoms. I’m wondering if that would be considered a cruel punishment?? I personally feel like it is. I mean by tonight I will be sick with body aches, I won’t be able to sleep or sit still, basically all the symptoms of withdrawling off of heroine or strong pain pills. I’m going to start the process of complaint in here.
