We have officers that verbally and physically abuse inmates on medical trips. They don’t secure them with a seat belt (if there even is one in the car/van), which is state and federal law; don’t secure outer garments in sub-zero weather, causing even more medical problems; criminally speed at 30+ miles over the speed limit; and watch videos while driving. Currently, we have influenza in the unit and inmates are authorized by Medical to wear masks But the CO takes them away when you walk out of the unit. This is supposed to be low-security facility. But nothing here is a low. It’s USP solutions to minimum-security issues.
