I’m a transgender (male to female). I am being constantly harassed in my unit by both staff and inmates. My straight friend is also harassed; staff call him a “tranny fucker”! Although I am supposed to only be pat searched by females (according to a court order), McKean does not comply. I have filed multiple administrative remedies and a PREA complaint, but those have been ignored.
I am also being denied access to approved cosmetic and hygiene items, and several senior staff members have threatened me for wearing make-up.
