Prison Pulse Report

About three months ago, I was bitten twice by what I think was a spider. I became frantic because it began to ooze. So, I pressed the duress button several times over the course of 10 minutes. The CO shouted that I was “fucking high.” But I don’t use drugs and they didn’t find any in my cell. The CO sprayed a lot of OC (pepper spray), a chemical that is highly inflammatory, into my cell. I was cuffed and my shoes were removed, then they half dragged me through the corridor to the lieutenant’s office. There, they yanked my clothes off and made me wear a paper robe. A chain was wrapped around my waist so tight that I couldn’t breathe easily. Then I was taken to th SHU for 16 hours. Every two hours, I was pestered, with the COs calling me nigger and pulling my shackles tighter. I literally have scar tissue and bruising now that looks like a chain around my torso.

I was fasting at the time for Ramadan and I wasn’t given my Ramadan meal; they only gave me one peanut butter sandwich. The officer involved told my block that I had been high drugs.

I tried to file a BP8, but nobody would give me the form. About two months later, they transferred me to the FCI. The same officers work here, so I am afraid to try to file.
