My loved one was in the SHU for months. When he was released, he talked about the inhumane conditions. His toilet ran over and flooded the cell with feces and contaminated water. They were not fed properly and his needs were not met, not even to the bare minimum. He was a different person when he came out. There was a dramatic change in his mental health and physical appearance. It made me want to cry.
