I have been to open house multiple times since March, letting them know I need a bottom bunk. I’ve had surgery on both of my wrists, and my hands cramp really bad. It hurts to pull myself up onto the bunk and hold myself getting down. I was told everybody wants a bottom bunk, and since I don’t meet the weight requirement I would have to be seen by a doctor. I waited months to be seen, but finally had an appointment in June. The doctor told me he told me he couldn’t give me a bottom bunk until I had x-rays done. He said to check the call out for my name. It’s now August and I haven’t been scheduled. I was told by another inmate that they should have given me a temporary bottom bunk pass until I got my x-rays.
