I have a detached retina in my left eye and thus, for the last two months, I have gone with no sight in that eye. I have gone to sick call, complaining that my face and head hurt as a result. They won’t give me any pain medication or other treatment. They keep saying we don’t have an eye doctor here to see me, so there’s nothing they can do.They are right; we haven’t had an eye doctor here to examine prisoners in more than a year. We are walking around with taped-up glasses or old prescriptions. But we can’t get a new pair of glasses.
