Prison Pulse Report

We can only copy “personal” material at certain times on Saturdays and Thursdays!

This is the way it rolled out: Staff believed that only legal copies should be made on the inmate copier, so they limited us to Saturdays for a few months  until inmates filed remedies and they had to back off. Then, just to maintain the illusion of dominance and control, they came up with a rule that you can only make personal copies on Saturdays from 9-9:30 a.m. and 3-3:30 p.m. and Thursday nights from 8-8:30 I think. This is to make it hard to make personal copies since, to them, it’s unnecessary and a bother. See, they want to monitor what you are copying to keep people from running gambling operations (which rely on copying “tickets” for people to buy) or porn. So, to limit that, they inspect everything you are going to copy before you put it on the machine.
