Prison Pulse Report

As of right now, five units (including my own) are on a $25 commissary restriction for someone “feeding the birds.” This has been going on for about five weeks. (Feeding the birds is when someone takes bread or any other type of food from the kitchen that they don’t want and, instead of throwing it in the trash, sprinkling it on the grass on the way back to the housing unit so the birds can eat it.) But there is no rule against feeding the birds. And, no matter who does it, we all have to bear the consequences.

This restriction is not on the computer system, where our spending is automatically stopped at $25, like when we receive disciplinary shots. Instead, the staff at canteen has to stop us at this limit while we are buying commissary. Thus, we end up in us going over and are forced to give the extras back.
