The phones have just been turned off in my unit. There was an inmate, Jeremy Aungie, who had a heart attack. He hit the ground hard. But the officer didn’t hit the “dueces” to alert Medical. They just called them and tried giving him smelling salts and other “overdose” protocols. But that inmate never used any drugs. He had just finished cleaning the showers and they didn’t check his pulse or anything.
