Prison Pulse Report

I am dealing with some serious health issues related to the pain I have experience after I defecate (going on since July 2020) Now, for the past two nights, I am having trouble taking a full breath, along with severe constipation.

I went to the Health Services pill window this morning and was able to get some laxative, but it provides only a little relief. I was told to come back on Monday.

This entire issue is the result of the BOP’s failure to arrange for me to have a colonoscopy. I should be a priority, since precancerous polyps were removed in January 2020. I have not had a repeat exam since, despite my symptoms. In the fall of 2020, I also had abnormal lab results that could be indicative of Crohn’s or IBS.

I am a military veteran (U.S. Marine Corps,1982-1990), yet I am not being offered adequate medical care. I have been at FCI Victorville I for 18 months, and yet have never been tested despite my complaints. Likewise, I have not been provided with all of my medical records from my previous prison, USP Lompoc.

I may be locked up, but, it is the government’s duty to take proper care of me and others, because we cannot provide for ourselves.
