The only people here who are allowed into the MAT program to kick their addiction are those who are transferring in from other prisons, and then they are forced to switch from the strips to the shot, which many people don’t tolerate well.
I have seen suboxone help people clean up their lives, rebuild with their families, get into college and become productive members of society. Without this life saving medication, people will overdose when they get out, or go back to being criminals to feed their addiction. The mismanagement of this program will impact moms, children, taxpayers and ultimately society, as the opioid pandemic is doing now
