I submitted an administrative remedy form to the Western Region in January. They received it on January 26 and requested an extension to respond. Yet they still blew their deadline, so I filed it with central office as I am allowed to do. I just received the regional response that was signed the 25th of March. Today is the 14th of April…How can they possibly say that they’re doing their jobs in responding appropriately to our complaints when they don’t actually answer the issues being stated and they delay to the point that they blow all their own deadlines? There is clearly a need for new policy and enforcement in the BOP as far as the admin remedy process is concerned. It’s the only way we have to note discrepancies without resorting to civil disobedience tactics that will get us sent to the SHU.
My complaint was regarding a lipoma on the back of my neck that has been causing me headaches since 2024. I had to get a senator involved at USP Hazelton just to be seen by the doctor. After being placed on a wait list to be seen by dermatology to have it removed, I was attacked and transferred. When I was at McCreary I was placed on the wait list once more but then attacked again. When I went to sick call here, Physicians Assistant Wilson accused me of lying about my headache and refused to place me on the waitlist for dermatology, claiming that I had a better chance of getting a helicopter ride out of prison than I did of getting a general surgeon to remove it. I haven’t been allowed to see the doctor and I’ve been putting in paperwork ever since. I started the administrative remedy process on 25 June 2025…This is pretty fucking ridiculous.
