Prison Pulse Report

The Electronic Law Library computers have been down for five weeks now. The C.O. in charge of IT says only that the "server is down." But the same server is used for the email terminals, so that doesn't make sense, since they work. Two of the law library computers are the only ones we can print from. So, we can't print needed reference materials, or send money out of the facility (called a BP199 request, which requires printing a form). We also cannot print the memos the administration posts, outlining the various abuses (punishment without due process), or any e-messages we receive (I like to print the MTOC newsletters and then make copies to disseminate among the indigent guys who can't afford to read emails). Update: The law library computers were finally fixed after SIX weeks.
