Prison Pulse Report

They treat us like we are scum of the earth at this RHU. I dropped out of a gang on the streets before I came in to the BOP, so when I got to my first spot I couldn’t walk the yard. I tried to tell SIS that I dropped out, but they didn’t believe me and said I had to sit in the SHU for six months. So, I did it again at USP Big Sandy and they made me go to the orientation unit with active people. Finally, they told me I was going to the RHU. Since I’ve been here, staff takes stuff from us just because they can. The case manager treats us badly. When we ask to get anything done, they will not do it for us. The COs tear our rooms up and they lock us down every chance they get. Medical is so bad that I’ve had a staph infection six times and it still has not been treated right. They packed my wounds with this gauze stuff, then left it in my arm, which was infected, for five days. I  had to pull it out because it was oozing puss. The days we are supposed to have Medical, we get locked in for something, and then they don’t do sick call.
