At Leavenworth, there are about 125 ICE detainees filling one unit, pre-trial people another and sex offenders in a third unit, That means the SHU is full almost all the time, and we are perpetually locked down. This facility is 130 years old, with rats everywhere and black mold like that seen in Alcatraz.
