Prison Pulse Report

For eight years, I’ve had severe knee issues, including arthritis and degenerative joint disorder. I can’t walk without a brace. But it was issued awhile ago by Ft. Worth FMC and is so worn out I have to insert a sock so it stays in place. It’s shot! But although Medical has seen it over and over, they’ve done nothing yet. Meanwhile, I’m at least a month behind for my steroid shot. We’ve been locked down and they forget during those. It’s so hard to walk! (Actually, what I really need is surgery, but I’ve given up on that.)

I also have a prostate issue that’s gotten so bad I have to use a catheter each time i use the bathroom, and I have to use it a lot. I told Medical I have blood in my urine, but so far no response. When I was in Texas, I was one month from a procedure to address this, but it’s been 20 months now at this place without a word!

On top of all this, I have anxiety and have been taking Effexor for sis years. But Medical does not bring pills around during lockdowns! I get panic attacks and violent nightmares. Thank God i have a cellie who talks me through all of them. It’s not safe to for me not be on something consistently. I put in for sick call after sick call but they do not respond.

And don’t get me started on the MAT program. I was on the shot for 14 months but then they switched to the strip and the dose is too low. I’ve overdosed twice because of this. Yet if I file paperwork (remedies) i have to worry about retaliation. And it’s scary going to the SHU here. They beat people up. If they wanna shut someone up, it will happen in the SHU, particularly Blacks and Mexicans. They are so racist here; they call ’em niggers to their faces.
