I hear the national menu has been changed to be healthier. So now, they gave us hot dogs three times this week to get rid of them. Same with breakfasts. We’re getting pancakes and French toast all the time to get rid of the ingredients and make way for eggs.
Meanwhile, I’m over 500 miles from home. I was at Bryan for RDAP, but my codefendant is in it too and put a separation order on me. That made me get shipped to Alderson. They didn’t put me into RDAP when I got there, but said I’d get in next time. I was here in time, though, and about seven people went ahead of me. This means I’ll only get nine months off and instead of getting out January of next year it will be April.
I haven’t seen my elderly mother and my kids in over four years due to the distance. I was in Waseca (Minnesota) and live in Louisiana. I went from 18 hours to 15 hours away from home.
We do not have hot water in food service and haven’t since last year. Yet the warden is getting sketches made for a new uniform for us! My bunkie is 78 years old, in for a white collar crime, and only has a couple of years left, but has bad health problems. She should not be in prison. She just went to the hospital and they found something on her lung and kidney. She is also having vision problems, seeing double from a head injury.
